What our Community says

5th grade parent

St. Thomas More Catholic Academy is the best school. The teachers are engaging and hold the scholars to a high level of responsibility for their education. Principal Smith and the administrative staff are amazing. They teach the scholars to be accountable and to invest in their future despite any odds. GO RAIDERS!!!!

pre-k & 2nd grade parent

STMCA has been a Blessing to my family for years through my Brother but to experience the Old and New with my Son and now my Nephew, I am so Grateful. The Staff is PHENOMENAL and the Love they have for these babies is UNMATCHED. This isn’t just a school, it’s a FAMILY. I’m at peace knowing that my babies are in great hands. I would follow the STM Staff anywhere and support all things that are brought forth because I know that it’s for the greater good and benefit of the Scholar. The Educators LOVE what they do and do it well. What they pour into these Scholars is worth more than words could ever describe and knowing that it’s not a Job for them but a LIFESTYLE is everything a Parent needs and appreciates when it comes to selecting the school your child will attend. There isn’t a school in all of DMV that I would rather my babies attend and secretly I’m praying they extend by the time my little ones get to the 8th grade.

Pre-K and 2nd Grade Parent

STM has been a gift from GOD for me and my two grandchildren they both have struggled a little bit but with the outstanding of the teachers, staff and principal it has been great. We need more teachers like Mrs. NESMITH and Ms. WEINMAN who are willing to the help the students with challenges that they are having. Never giving up on them but meeting them where they are and helping them to move forward. And thank you Principal Smith for you and your staff when I needed answers you were there too.

6th grade parent

As a new parent to STM, I am very pleased with the support of the teaching staff and Administrative staff as we experience this new way of schooling during this pandemic. The staff patience and their ability to make adjustments to ensure that the scholars still have a great learning experience is unmatched!!!

A multi year family

I've had 3 children attend Saint Thomas More Catholic Academy. I have one currently in 6th grade and will have my 4th child (4 years old) attending next school year. My son who is now 23 attended when he was 6 years old. My 17 year old daughter is a senior in high school and she started when she was 3 years old. This school is built on family orientation and love from within. The people do not just work here they build a rapport and relationship with every child and family they come across. The pandemic has brought the staff closer and has built stronger relationships with the families at the school. Fear is not an option at Saint Thomas More Catholic Academy. Commitment, Determination and Will-Power keeps this school grounded and striving for success. Together we are ONE in mind, body and soul. Thanks to all who have impacted my children and my life. You know who you are. God Bless You All.

7th grade parent

When given Distance Learning as the only options, STM Staff found innovative ways to keep scholars and parents engaged during virtual learning. Using social distancing protocols and strict scheduled times, scholars were given the opportunity to meet their teacher for first time and pick up need materials for class and scholars were able to attend treat-a-truck to fellowship with their classmates and teacher. Also, STM offers virtual clubs. My daughter is apart of the writing club and chess club. The highlight of Distance Learning for me was the fourth grade scholars virtual Poetry Slam. Having a virtual program allowed myself and host of daughter's village members to attend and support her. I truly love the staff and rigorous curriculum at STM.

8th grade parent

St. Thomas More is a family school school the staff is always available when you need a helping hand. My Granddaughter has been apart of the St. Thomas More Family since 1st grade, she has grown to become a very beautiful blossomed flower I know she will take with her to High school the best that St. Thomas More taught her.
